Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:

  • Family Eligibility: Open to children, stepchildren, and grandchildren of active IBEW Local 2320 members in good standing or retirees.
  • Educational Enrollment: Applicants must be accepted for enrollment at the time of the award into an accredited college, university, community college, or recognized technical/trade school. Graduate students are not eligible.
  • Application Limit: Only one application per individual will be accepted.
  • Application Format: Completed application forms may be photocopied and are acceptable for submission.

Application Deadline: Application must be received at the Union Hall by the close of business on June 5, 2026.

Please submit your application only one time using one method.

Whether online or via hard copy, all scholarship applications must be received at the Union Hall by the close of business on June 5, 2026.

Scholarship Notification:
IBEW Local 2320 will not be able to advise applicants as to the status or receipt of their applications. Only winners will be notified on or before June 10, 2026.

Awards:
Two (2) one-time scholarships of $1,000 each will be allocated and presented at the Union Hall on July 8, 2026.

Essay Requirement:

With the prevalence of AI in today’s industry, what potential effect will this have on union labor?
Essay must be between 400 and 600 words. Essays will be scanned for AI usage. We are looking for personal opinions as well as supporting data.

Do not send essays separately. Essays sent separately will not be considered.

Additional Requirements:

  • A union member verification form must accompany each scholarship application.
  • The IBEW Local 2320 Collette P. Lemay Memorial Scholarship Committee will determine the awards. Upon receipt, applicant details will be indexed and obscured to ensure impartiality.
