Collette Lemay passed away on February 1, 1995, at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH, after suffering a brain aneurysm while working in the Union office. Collette dedicated many years of service to IBEW Local 2320 as a Business Agent representing Operator Services. At that time, there were ten Operator Services offices throughout New Hampshire staffed by New England Telephone and AT&T operators. In addition to her primary responsibilities, she managed all benefit-related matters for the membership and was serving as the Local's Financial Secretary at the time of her passing.

Sister Lemay was deeply respected for her tireless advocacy, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to the members of Local 2320. She carried herself with grace and integrity - truly a lady in every sense of the word. Her presence is still missed by all who had the privilege to know and work with her.

In recognition of her lasting impact, the Officers and Executive Board established the Collette Lemay Memorial Scholarship Fund as a tribute to her legacy. Thanks to the support of our community, and particularly through the annual Collette Lemay Memorial Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament, we have raised over $100,000 and awarded more than $80,000 in scholarships to deserving recipients.
