Fidium, formerly Consolidated Communications, has announced a surplus to the employees in the Facility Management Group in New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont. The surplus is due to ongoing technology changes within the company, including the introduction of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for service order management. This may result in a layoff of seven Facility Assigners. The off-property date is October 31, 2025.
IBEW Local 2320
and the T-9 are working with Fidium to discuss the next steps of the Collective Bargaining Agreement pertaining to layoffs.
